and this...
and this...
As you can see, I've been feeling pretty tired lately. I think there are probably a lot of possible explanations for my seemingly chronic fatigue...like maybe the months of wedding planning, dissertation defending, getting married, moving a couple of times, settling into a new home in a new place, and starting my internship are all catching up with me now. Of course, I got the secretly hopeful question, "You aren't pregnant, are you?" from both mom and dad. The answer is no, but just in case this fatigue is health-related, I've been to the doctor and have had bloodwork done to rule out any problems. So, for now I am just trying to rest a lot and eat well. Ian's been taking good care of me and always fills me in on the happenings of the tv shows I inevitably sleep through :)
I thought that I'd post a picture of one of the rooms in our apartment to start a kind of weekly tour of our nest. I decided to show you the guest room today because Ian just finished some serious handy work in there and we just had house guests this weekend (Thanks for making the bed, Becky and Paul!). So, without further ado...
The headboard is made from 2 old doors that Ian and I salvaged from a neighbor's trash pile one afternoon while we were out on a walk. Ian cleaned them up, polished the hardware, and mounted them to the wall this week. The wall color is strong and spicy... I think it has the word "jalapeno" in the color name. We joke about how there seems to be a glow coming from the guest room into the hallway when we leave the door open. It is certainly a warm and inviting room that we can't wait to share with guests in the future. Mom, you're next!
OMG! Sooooo shabby chic! I love the creativity here, Team Haag. Nice.
